Cash for junk RVs, motorhomes and campers
Do you buy old RVs and campers that don't run?
Yes. S & H Cash for Junk Cars Corp. buys junk motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels and pop-up campers from Markham and the nearby south suburbs, running or not, leaking or not. We arrange the right tow for its size at no charge, and you're paid at pickup in cash, Zelle or Cash App.

RVs and campers don’t usually die on the road. They die in the driveway. A family stops taking trips, the camper sits through a few Illinois winters, the roof starts to leak and the soft spots spread. By the time someone decides to sell, it may not roll on its own tires, let alone pass for a weekend rental.
What we buy
- Motorhomes: Class A, Class B camper vans and Class C units on a van or truck chassis.
- Towables: travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers and pop-up campers.
- Truck campers that slide into a pickup bed.
Running or not, with water damage or without. A motorhome’s value leans on its chassis, engine and drivetrain. A towable’s leans more on its frame, axles and what’s still inside. The pricing page explains how weight and parts set the number.
What to have ready
- The title. The Secretary of State says anything driven on the roads, RVs included, and anything pulled, from pop-ups and fifth wheels to trailers “of all kinds and sizes,” needs a title and plates (SOS title FAQ). A slide-in camper fixed to a pickup is the exception: it’s neither titled nor registered, so tell us what papers came with it. If a title is missing, read selling without a title in Illinois.
- Two forms of ID, one of them a driver’s license or state ID card.
- A lien release if the RV was financed.
- Keys for the doors and ignition if you have them.
Before pickup: propane, water and contents
Campers carry things cars don’t. Before the tow:
- Close the propane valve at the tank. Tell us whether the tanks are staying on board.
- Drain what you can: fresh water and the holding tanks. If a valve is stuck, say so.
- Take out what you want. Furniture, generators, bikes on the rear rack, the awning crank, the spare key in the drawer.
- Remove the plate. In Illinois it stays with you.
Getting it out: where RVs sit
RVs sit in places cars don’t. A side yard behind a fence, the back of a long lot, a storage yard off a main road, sometimes on blocks with the tires gone. Access is the main question on these pickups, so tell us:
| Tell us | Why |
|---|---|
| Length and type | A 35-foot fifth wheel and a pop-up need very different tows. |
| Hitch type for towables | Ball, fifth wheel or gooseneck. |
| Overhead clearance | Low branches, wires or a carport roof in the way. |
| Ground and gate width | Soft grass, a narrow gate or a tight turn onto the street. |
| Storage lot rules | Many storage yards want notice before a vehicle leaves. |
Bigger units need a different tow than a car does, and we arrange the right one for it.
Where we pick up
We buy RVs and campers across our area, including Matteson, Richton Park and Flossmoor, where longer driveways and side yards are where campers tend to end up. The full list is on the service areas page.

Questions about this
- The camper has been sitting in my side yard for years. Will you still take it?
- Yes. Flat tires, a leaking roof and mold inside don't stop the sale. Tell us how it sits and what's around it so the right tow comes out.
- Do I have to empty the holding tanks?
- Empty what you can, and tell us about anything you can't. Turn off the propane at the tank and say whether tanks are on board.
- Is towing free for a motorhome or a big trailer?
- Yes. The tow costs you nothing and isn't taken out of the offer, whatever the size.
- Do you buy a camper with no title?
- Call and tell us what papers you have. Motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels and pop-ups are all titled in Illinois, so the paperwork question is the same one as for a car.
We also buy
- Cash for junk box trucks, semis and commercial vehiclesBox trucks, cutaways, semi tractors and trailers, from truck yards, business lots and driveways.
- Selling a junk truck, van or SUVPickups, cargo and passenger vans, minivans and SUVs in any condition.
- Flood and fire damaged carsWater in the cabin or engine after a storm, or a car damaged by fire in a garage, lot or crash.
